It's nostalgia time and Eddie knows his onions. "I'm In The Mood For Love" is a great album for those still travelling back to the innocent 50s. Think of Coen Brothers films such as "The Man Who Wasn't There" and you get the picture.
A very nice album, full of melodic string arrangements and Eddie's velvet voice; plus, the occasional cut'n'paster might find some interesting hooks in here. Enjoy!
There you go. One-hit wonders Medicine head with...er... their one hit titled "One & One is One". Irony? Dunno. It's a nice single, though. Both tracks are fine. Got two copies of it. Anyone in for a trade?
Buddy Miles and his band in a song that was once part of the "Band Of Gypsies" album by Jimi Hendrix. It is a Buddy Miles original and it was first released with the title "Changes". Side two contains "69 Freedom Express", a groovy soul-funk instrumental. The particular single was cut in Belgium and it is -surprisingly- monophonic.
This is kind of a "split single" with Adriano Celentano and La Ragazza Del Clan, backed by the famous band I Ribelli.
I don't really know much about this release. If any of you has any info concerning the particular single (you know, session details, collector's value etc), feel free to fill in the blanks. Enjoy!
Here is a really nice single I found while digging among piles of old 'n cheesy records at a local record shop. I actually have no clue about Russ Regent and his Rhythmaires (I suppose some of you know, so feel free to fill in the blanks). Both tracks are sampleable and especially the title track which opens with a great drum groove. Enjoy!!!
